Hello, my name is Tracy Hertsel. I was born and raised in the Cassopolis community. I’m proud to say that I’m a “Ranger” through and through. I have had the pleasure to give back to the children and community through volunteering, teaching, coaching, being a principal and most recently as the district's Superintendent for the last 4 years. It is my goal as Superintendent to provide the leadership necessary to continue providing a high quality education for the children of our school district and community.
It is important to me to challenge every staff member to teach by Benjamin Franklin’s quote: “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I may remember, involve me and I learn.” As technology becomes more and more a part of our everyday life, it is important to equip our staff with the tools to involve students with hands-on learning each and every day. I personally want to thank the voters of the community for their support to pass the 2015 bond. The money from the bond is being used to extend the life of the buildings and protect them from all conditions and also to update Ross Beatty classrooms with furnishings and technology. Our staff and many contractors worked long hours over the summer to make sure the buildings were ready for our students and staff. We hope you enjoy visiting the buildings and seeing our renovations first hand!
Thank you for visiting our district website!
